About this place
Set back in the residential streets of Oyama-Kanaicho in Itabashi Ward, Plurale offers unpretentious Italian warmth in an unassuming setting. Helmed by an owner-chef who trained in Rome, the kitchen serves thoughtfully crafted dishes at approachable prices.
Pasta stands front and center, led by a Roman-style carbonara made without cream and a deeply flavorful bolognese. Guests can also choose between an oil-based vongole bianco infused with clam broth or a rich sea urchin tomato cream, matching sauce to mood. The gnocchi cream gratin, baked with house-made ricotta, brings together a tender bite with a smooth, comforting sauce.
For heartier mains or snacks alongside wine, slow-braised beef cheeks in red wine and meticulously prepared tomato-stewed tripe make natural companions. The small-plate selection extends to prawn carpaccio accented with orange, pinecone-shaped pommes dauphine potato bites, and supplì, the classic fried rice croquette.
Evenings unfold at an easy pace over draft craft beers—poured in 2 profiles ranging from crisp to robust—or bottles of Italian wine tailored to the table. Rounding out dinner with tiramisu or panna cotta provides a sweet, understated finale.
